I'm starting a new blog/email called "What's Up Wednesday" where we'll share what's going on on the farm. This week we'll be moving the hens out the their summer campers The WinniEggos and they will start traveling the fields.
We have calves!
Eggs, eggs, eggs
This winter has been a struggle and I'm finding it hard to write updates and posts.
There is so much in the news right now about egg shortages and prices. How did we get here? I’m going to address what’s happening on the farm with eggs. Prices are rising and procedure changes are happening. A founding principle for the farm is transparency. We strive to be open and honest about everything we do, including when and why we are making pricing and other adjustments. I’m also going to address what’s going on with eggs on a larger scale and why you are now seeing both shortages of eggs as well as rising prices. Prices on conventional, confinement eggs are now rivaling that of farm and high quality commercial eggs.
