Loaded Pasta Sauce

I use this recipe to make 'pasta' night nutrient dense. Loaded with quality meat, lots of veggies and bone broth! I love to make big batches of this and freeze for nights I need a quick meal.
This recipe is a starting place. Adjust to your tastes and the protein and veggies you have on hand.

- Servings: 8
Ingredients
- (1 Pound) Ground Beef
- (1 pound) Italian Sausage-Pork (bulk)
- (1 large) Onion
- (3 cloves) Garlic
- (1 large) Carrot
- (1/2 head) Cauliflower
- (1) Zucchini
- (1 teaspoon) Oregano
- (3 cups) Bone Broth
- (To taste) Salt
- (2 Jars) Pasta Sauce
- (1/2 pound) Chicken Liver
- (2 cups fresh) Spinach Chopped
Directions
- In a large pot brown the meats. I find this is a great recipe to add some organ meat like diced chicken or beef liver.
- Chop or grate the onion, garlic, carrot, cauliflower and zucchini. I like to run them all through the food processor so they are very finely chopped. You can add other veggies you have on hand.
- Add the veggies, seasoning and bone broth into the meat and simmer until the veggies are tender and the broth is reduced.
- Add pasta sauce and spinach to meat and veggies and simmer for 15-20 minutes while you prepare pasta.
We serve this with spaghetti squash, zoodles, gluten free pasta or shredded fried cabbage.
